Slender Man Comic

So…I hear there is an interest raging through the internet about the Slender Man legend!

What is the Slender Man legend, you ask?

Well, I don’t know the whole story…but I’ll tell you what I do know.

The legend started with a few old photos that were posted online. The photos seem normal enough for old black and white photography…they depict a simple scene, people who don’t seem in any way out-of-the-ordinary, they are peaceful.

Everything seems fine when you first look at these photos…look at them longer…something just feels off.

The viewer starts to see a strange phenomenon. It looks like there is a tall and slender man standing in the distance creepily. He’s too tall and slender to be normal. In fact, he probably isn’t even there. You know what I mean, don’t you? It is most likely illusion created by light and shadow…but still, one has to wonder.

More of these photos popped up on the internet. People started talking about it, paying attention to it, seeking out more of this strange legend…

And also…people started making art about it!!

And that is why I am writing this post!

I was never one for traditional superhero comics. I prefer indie comics… a fresher style, better storyline, dynamic characters…in short, something a little different!

Where do I go for most of my comics? The internet! Web comics!

And, well, if you are into the Slender Man legend or just curious like me…there are comics out there for you.

My favorite? So glad you asked!

And yes…I do know the artist and the writer! But that isn’t why I love this web comic! It draws the reader in and doesn’t let go.

For me, it started off a little slow but I couldn’t stop reading. I wanted to know what happened next. I liked the art at the beginning too but the newer pages are fantastically rendered! The reader can really see that the artist is growing and improving.

I know for a fact the artist, Peter Rimkunas, works very diligently on each page. And I know from myself being an artist that something this in-depth takes a lot of time, effort, and heart to work on.

Why are you still reading this post?! GO READ THE COMIC!

Till next time…
Stay creative, my friends!
