Hey guys!

I’m writing another blog but this one I’m calling a “Story Blog” because it’s…a story. Duh.
I’ll be doing illustrations for it too!

Check it out if you can!

Last semester of senior year!

Hey everyone!
As the title says, I have entered my final semester of art school! Yaaaay!
I am working on a thesis project, which will consist of at least 7 pieces for a portfolio.

As many of you probably know by now, I write my own stories. And for the entirety of my college career I have wanted to work on illustrating my writing. Well, I finally get to do that!

Here is the first piece I did for thesis!

First piece for thesis!

It is for a new story I am writing and the themes are a bit darker. I have many stories that I am working on at the same time. There are about 10 in the works!

That’s it for now!
See you next time!

Just thought I would share a few more character studies from various stories that I am working on!

I’m getting into digital coloring. I’m also getting into using graphite instead of ink. The Zofia character study (image below) is one of my first attempts at digital coloring. However, since coloring her, I’ve learned even more about digital stuff and may or may not re-color her. Regardless of that, in the future I will use my newly acquired knowledge to color her better!

Also below, are just a few sketches of characters from two other stories that I am working on currently.

With my graphite work, I scan in the illustration and then darken all the lines in Photoshop. There are several ways to do this I’ve found out.

Hey, Everyone!

I have a new webcomic! It’s called Happy-Go-Loony!

It may not be appropriate for everyone because it has some violence. However, it’s not your average gory horror comic! I call it cute-horror! Sometimes it’s about horror and sometimes it’s just plain cute!

Check it out!

I’m planning to update every Sunday night! 🙂

Hello all!

I’ve been doing some intense sketching lately (at 2 am…) and wanted to share some of the neat things I’ve been drawing!
These are for a story I’ve been writing so tell me what you think of these character studies.

I’m not ready to reveal the stories just yet but keep checking back! I may at some point share some information. 🙂

Slender Man Comic

So…I hear there is an interest raging through the internet about the Slender Man legend!

What is the Slender Man legend, you ask?

Well, I don’t know the whole story…but I’ll tell you what I do know.

The legend started with a few old photos that were posted online. The photos seem normal enough for old black and white photography…they depict a simple scene, people who don’t seem in any way out-of-the-ordinary, they are peaceful.

Everything seems fine when you first look at these photos…look at them longer…something just feels off.

The viewer starts to see a strange phenomenon. It looks like there is a tall and slender man standing in the distance creepily. He’s too tall and slender to be normal. In fact, he probably isn’t even there. You know what I mean, don’t you? It is most likely illusion created by light and shadow…but still, one has to wonder.

More of these photos popped up on the internet. People started talking about it, paying attention to it, seeking out more of this strange legend…

And also…people started making art about it!!

And that is why I am writing this post!

I was never one for traditional superhero comics. I prefer indie comics… a fresher style, better storyline, dynamic characters…in short, something a little different!

Where do I go for most of my comics? The internet! Web comics!

And, well, if you are into the Slender Man legend or just curious like me…there are comics out there for you.

My favorite? So glad you asked!

And yes…I do know the artist and the writer! But that isn’t why I love this web comic! It draws the reader in and doesn’t let go.

For me, it started off a little slow but I couldn’t stop reading. I wanted to know what happened next. I liked the art at the beginning too but the newer pages are fantastically rendered! The reader can really see that the artist is growing and improving.

I know for a fact the artist, Peter Rimkunas, works very diligently on each page. And I know from myself being an artist that something this in-depth takes a lot of time, effort, and heart to work on.

Why are you still reading this post?! GO READ THE COMIC!

Here’s the link:

Till next time…
Stay creative, my friends!
